This Acceptable Use Policy (the "AUP") is part of the Terms of Service. Violations are grounds for content removal, account suspension, permanent termination, and (where appropriate) reports to law enforcement.
Overview
Don't use Rolls & Digs to harm yourself, harm others, race on public roads, break the law, or break our systems. Everything below is a non-exhaustive list of how those four principles apply.
1. Public-road racing & speed runs
- Do not plan, conduct, time, broadcast, advertise, recruit for, record results from, or coach any race or speed run on public roads, highways, or any property where motor-sport activity is not lawfully permitted.
- Do not use telemetry tools, lap timers, or live group sessions outside a closed course or sanctioned event.
- Do not use the Service to evade or warn others about law enforcement.
2. Abuse of users
- See the Community Guidelines for the full list. Highlights: no harassment, no hate speech, no doxxing, no NCII, no impersonation, no targeted intimidation.
3. Scraping & reverse engineering
- Do not scrape, harvest, or systematically extract Service content (driver profiles, photos, lap times, leaderboards, telemetry, business listings) without our express written permission.
- Do not reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service or any of its components.
- Do not attempt to derive source code, training data, or model weights from any AI feature.
4. Infrastructure abuse
- Do not introduce viruses, worms, trojans, ransomware, or any code intended to disrupt the Service.
- Do not perform denial-of-service, brute-force, credential- stuffing, or other availability-impacting attacks.
- Do not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system without our prior written consent (a coordinated security disclosure is welcome — email security@rollsanddigs.com).
- Do not bypass rate limits, geofences, or quotas.
5. Intellectual-property infringement
- Do not upload content you don't own or have a licence to share — including photos, videos, music, logos, or third-party copyrighted text.
- Do not register trademarks, brand names, or look-alikes belonging to others as part of your handle, display name, car nickname, or business profile.
- Rights-holders can submit DMCA notices via the Copyright & DMCA Policy.
6. Illegal activity
- Do not use the Service to facilitate fraud, money laundering, narcotics distribution, weapons trafficking, stalking, or any other illegal activity.
- Do not advertise illegally modified vehicles where the modifications are unlawful in the buyer's jurisdiction.
- Do not solicit or accept wagers tied to race outcomes.
7. Circumventing safety controls
- Do not spoof your GPS to bypass the sanctioned-event geofence.
- Do not falsify telemetry to inflate leaderboards.
- Do not lie about your age to bypass the 18+ requirement.
- Do not coach others to do any of the above.
8. Bots & automation
- Do not run automated agents that pose as users (chat posters, friend-request senders, leaderboard farmers).
- Do not record telemetry from a non-vehicle source (treadmill, drone, simulator) and submit it as a real run.
- Approved automation use cases (legitimate research, accessibility helpers): contact contact@technooptics.org for permission.
Consequences
Depending on severity and history, we may take any combination of the following: warning, content removal, feature suspension, temporary account suspension, permanent account termination, IP / device block, civil action for damages, and referral to law-enforcement. We may suspend an account immediately while we investigate a serious report.
